SERVING SCHOOLS PARTNERING CHURCHES

romans10-17.webp

Heading 2

" But how can people call for help if they don’t know who to trust?

And how can they know who to trust if they haven’t heard of the One who can be trusted?

And how can they hear if nobody tells them?

And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it?"

Romans 10:14

Christians In Schools Trust (CIST) was founded in 1993 in Stockport and has been faithfully supported financially and prayerfully by Christian churches and individuals since then, enabling us to offer all our services to schools completely free of charge.

The aim of Christians in Schools is to support excellence in education and help pupils learn  about the Christian faith in interesting, relevant, fun and age-appropriate ways.

Currently, our charity has the privilege of supporting pupils and staff in 46 schools across Stockport.

Through RE lessons, assemblies, seasonal workshops, lunch/after-school clubs and        ' spaces', children and young people have the opportunity to learn about the Christian faith from people for whom it is a real and integral part of their lives.

We see ourselves as a small part of God's wider ministry team and it's a real joy to partner with local church leaders and youth workers to deliver some of our content in schools and also support church communities in their mission to engage with and bring the good news of the gospel to families and young people.

OUR BASIS OF FAITH:

There is one true God who lives eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of all and the Father of all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We confess Jesus Christ as Lord and God; as truly human, born of the Virgin Mary, without sin, full of grace and truth. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, who died and rose again. He is the Redeemer of the world and the one mediator, through faith, in whom alone we obtain forgiveness of sins.

The Lord Jesus Christ will return personally in glory and judgement to establish His kingdom. The Old and New Testament are the inspired Word of God, fully trustworthy in all that they affirm for faith and life.
