“All children start their school careers with sparkling imaginations, fertile minds, and a willingness to take risks with what they think.”
– Ken Robinson, Professor Emeritus, University of Warwick
We love doing primary school assemblies! We aim to build relationships with primary schools so we can be there on a regular basis. We offer an assembly for every school week of the year! They are always fun and on the theme of whatever is the National awareness theme of that week. Check out an example of one of our assembly menus from this year:
Our “Guardians of Ancora” clubs are a great addition to any primary school life. “Guardians” is a Scripture Union computer game that explores the stories of the Bible in an exciting new way. We have invested in some tablets and bring them to schools to run Guardians clubs at lunchtime or after school. This is a great chance for children to have fun whilst exploring the Bible in a game-style format and build a community in schools! For more information about bringing a Guardians club to your school, please email Josh at email@example.com
R.E. lessons are a big part of our work. We cover a wide range of topics for both KS1 and KS2. We have deliberately structured what we offer to schools to reflect the current curriculum. At the back of our Primary Portfolio you will find a page that indexes what projects correspond to which unit of the syllabus. Take a look!
Our Primary Portfolio will show you our special annual projects! Every year we provide the following 1 hour project workshops across KS1 and KS2:
Easter Projects (KS1/KS2)
Christmas projects (KS1/KS2)
Anti-Bullying projects (KS2)
Storytelling Week projects (KS2)
It’s Your Move Transition project (Y6)
In order to keep our content relevant, we produce a new project for each topic annually. If you would like further details about the content of our projects this academic year, please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Our special projects are all identified in the Primary Portfolio and there are many to choose from! On R.E. days or afternoons we come into school to do a carousel of different activities exploring Christianity; in our “Church Experiences” sessions we bring children to church for different activities to learn about church life and worship, and in our “Christmas Unwrapped” and “Easter Unwrapped” sessions, which we do in partnership with Edgeley Churches, children discover what Christmas and Easter means to Christians.
