** altered time change on this update**

It’s time to go back to school!

Next week we re-start term and dive head first into all the adventure this academic year has to offer. Before we do that though, we are taking a little time to reflect on the year that has passed. To that end, please take a look at our Newsletter! You’ll find the link at the bottom of this post, but also by following this link here. Or, you can visit our website and look on the Newsletter page!

In our Newsletter you’ll find some of our team highlights from the year, a letter from our Chairman, and what our team are hoping for and looking for next year! We’ve also got some key dates for your diary:

Sunday the 8th of September
This is EDUCATION SUNDAY and we would like to remind church communities to pray for their local schools and teachers, and also pray for our workers and work in the schools of Stockport.

Tuesday the 8th of October
This is our SUPPORTER COFFEE AND PRAYER MEETING. We will be meeting at 10 am at our office in Church House, 99 Chatham Street, Edgeley, Stockport SK3 9EG. We hope you can join us for coffee and cake and to hear about how you can pray for the work!

We’ve had a year of transition and change. We have been sad to see workers leave, even though they have gone on to new and amazing things, and we have joyfully welcomed new team members. We have faced trials but we have also seen the growth of our work and growth of doors opening in schools. We hope you enjoy hearing about it at our Coffee morning, and reading about it in our Newsletter!

We are also making more of a push this year to keep our supporters up to date through social media. So if you don’t already, please follow us on twitter here (@CIST15) and instagram here (christiansinschoolstrust) and keep up with us on our facebook page! https://www.facebook.com/www.cist.co.uk If you can like, follow and share our posts, then more people will learn about our work and hear our stories.

We pray you all have a blessed first week of term, and that as you think of the teachers and students in your lives, you will bring them to the Lord in prayer too.

Have a blessed week!
