God Forgives |
|---|---|
AimTo introduce children to the idea of forgiveness. To introduce children to the belief that God always forgives those who are sorry. Before the lesson prepare the story of the golden calf (Exodus 32). LessonBegin lesson with a recitation of the class rules. Who managed to stick to these promises? Who broke one or more of them since the previous lesson? Ask the children to explain how it feels when someone breaks a promise which they made to them. The Israelites broke their promises to God as soon as they had made them. Share with the children the story of the golden calf. Only God keeps His promises. He wanted to destroy all the Israelites, except for Moses. But instead, He forgave those people who were sorry for breaking their promises and wanted to try again. Do their parents do the same? What about you? ConclusionConclude lesson by publicly giving another chance to those who are sorry for breaking their promises. |
