My Birth
Aim
To become familiar with the Nativity story.
Lesson
Begin by reviewing what was taught in the previous week about time. This week the children are going to be thinking about the time when they were born.
- When and where were they born?
- What did they look like as new born babies?
- What did they do when they were first born?
- Who came to visit them?
Children could contribute photographs, cards and other items towards a display about themselves as new born babies.
You could also invite a mother and new born baby to visit the class.
At this time of year, many people all over the world are preparing to remember the birth of a special baby a long time ago. The story of this birth is told in the Bible.
