To explore children's use of free-time.

Lesson

Begin by revising what was taught last week about the Temple. The Bible says Solomon spent a lot of time building the Temple.

Outside of school how do the children spend their time?

Activity

Invite children to draw/ write about their favourite activity outside of school. Remind children that people came to the Temple to spend some time praying to God. People pray to God in many different ways. Some people pray with words while others sit in silence and think about God.

Conclusion

Lead children in a brief period of silent reflection, giving thanks for all the different after school activities in which they are involved.
