Begin by revising what was taught in the previous lesson about Rogation. The three Rogation Days are followed by Ascension Day, the day on which Christians remember Jesus' return to Heaven.

Share with children the story of the Ascension (Acts 1:1-11).

Activity

Following discussion, groups of children could:

• talk / write about their own experiences of saying farewell.
• talk / write about a promise which they made or which was made to them.
• interview a Christian about the meaning of Ascension to him / her.
