Ask the children to sit comfortably; to close their eyes and take a few moments to relax; to become aware of their breathing flowing in and flowing out.

Read the following text to the children:

Imagine that like Christian you have been on a journey to a place where people live together in peace, where evil does not exist and where justice rules.

Your journey has been long and difficult, but, at last, you have arrived. Where are you? In a city? A village? An open space? What is the name of this place?

Take a first look around - what can you see?... what can you hear?... what does it feel like to have arrived?...

See the people living here... Speak with them... Find out what their family life is like... what they eat... how they live... what music they enjoy... what work they do... what art they like... Have a look at what they are doing... at their faces... Visit where they live... Look at the environment... What is growing there?

Perhaps there is one person you want to spend time with. Do that now...

Now you have a few minutes to look around at whatever you want...

Now see yourself in that place... What are you doing? How are you feeling?

Take a picture of yourself. Keep that picture fixed in your mind as you slowly and gently return to this time and place.

Don't open your eyes until you feel quite ready

Debriefing

Write about or draw a photograph of yourself.

Get into pairs and talk about it.

If there is anything you particularly liked / disliked about the place you visited, share it with the rest of the class.

Talk about and list as a class some of the elements from that place you want to be in the world now.
