AimTo explore the historical and thematic connections between Easter and Pesach. LessonBegin by informing children that there are many connections between the Jewish festival of Pesach and the Christian festival of Easter. In fact, the old English word for Easter is Pasch. One of the reasons for this connection between Pesach and Easter lies in the fact that Jesus and all of his first followers were Jewish. The most obvious connection between Pesach and Easter is the fact that the first Easter took place during the festival of Pesach.
