To explore the narrative of the ten plagues.

Lesson

Review what was taught in the previous lesson about Moses' call from God. Remind them of God's words to Moses. 'I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go. So I will use my great power against Egypt. I will make miracles happen in that land. After I do this, he will let you go.'

What miracles did God perform?

Share with the children the story of the 10 plagues and the crossing of the Sea of Reeds (also translated as the Red Sea).

Activity

Following discussion, groups of children could:

• complete their Passover frieze or zigzag book.
• plan a mock television or newspaper report on the Plagues.
• talk/write about the presentation of God in this story.
• stage a debate about the role of God in natural disasters.
• watch the concluding section of the Testament video.
