Through oral or written work, children could demonstrate their ability to:

  • retell the stories encountered in this unit of work and identify some Christian teachings about right and wrong. (L2, AT1a)
  • describe accurately Christian teachings about right and wrong. (L3, AT1a)
  • describe accurately Christian beliefs about God as law-giver, connecting these to other Judeo-Christian beliefs about God. (L4, AT1a)
  • make links between the stories encountered in this unit of work and the Christian beliefs that underlie them. (L3, AT1c)
  • compare aspects of their own experiences regarding temptation and punishment with those of others, identifying what influences their lives. (L3, AT2a)
  • ask questions about the experiences of Jesus explored in this unit of work, for example, the Temptations and suggest answers. (L4, AT2a)
  • respond sensitively to Christian beliefs about right and wrong. (L2, AT2c)
  • make links between Christian values and their own attitudes and behaviour. (L3, AT2c)
  • ask questions about matters of right and wrong and suggest answers that show understanding of Christian moral teaching. (L4, AT2c)
