Baroness Cox

Since 1985, Caroline Cox has had a very important job in the House of Lords as Deputy Speaker.

Before becoming a politician, Baroness Cox worked as a nurse and a teacher.

She is also a Franciscan and spends a lot of her time helping people in need.

Baroness Cox is very concerned about other Christians who are being persecuted in different countries throughout the world. She has travelled to many dangerous countries, where it is against the law to be a Christian. She has spoken to the Christians who live there and also to the politicians of those countries. Through her work, she has saved the lives of thousands of Christians and has helped them to change unfair laws in their countries.

Baroness Cox is called "A Voice for the Voiceless" because she speaks up for people whose voices are not heard in their own countries.

You can write to Baroness Cox at the House of Lords in London.
