A tallit is a shawl which Jewish people wear when they say their
prayers in the morning.
At the four corners of a tallit, there are fringes. These fringes
are called tzitzit. The tzitzit are twisted and knotted in a special
way to remind Jewish people of the 613 commandments in the Torah.
Before a Jewish person puts on a tallit, this prayer is said,
Bless the Lord, O my soul;
O Lord my God, You are very great;
You are clothed in glory and majesty,
Wrapped in a robe of light;
You spread the heavens like a tent cloth.
