To become familiar with the story of Pentecost.

Lesson

Begin by revising what was taught in the previous lesson about Peter on the beach. Sometime after the meal on the beach, Jesus returned to Heaven. But He made a promise. Peter and His other followers were to return to Jerusalem and wait for the promise to come true. One day, something amazing happened to Peter and the others.

Share with children the story of Pentecost.

• make a short speech in front of the class on a subject of their choice
• talk / write about the most amazing thing which has happened to them
• interview a Christian visitor about Pentecost
• add to their character profile of Peter
• read about the celebration of Pentecost
