To introduce Christian beliefs about Jesus' Resurrection.

Lesson

Begin by revising what was taught in the previous lesson about Jesus as Saviour. Inform children that at Easter Christians celebrate Jesus coming back to life. They consider this to be a great victory.

Share the story of Jesus' Resurrection with the children.

Activity

Following discussion, groups of children could:

• talk / write about a victory in which they have taken part
• look at an image of Jesus as a victor such as Della Franscesca's Resurrection
• design an Easter victory banner which could be used in a church
• read the verse of the Easter victory hymn
