On Easter Sunday, Christians throughout the world, celebrate the day when Jesus rose again. Many Christians get up very early and meet together outside to watch the sun rise. They sing joyful hymns and thank God for raising Jesus. Then they might go to church and share breakfast together.

In churches where pictures and statues of Jesus have been covered, these covers are removed. The candles are lit once again and the church may be filled with flowers.

Easter Sunday is a very happy day for Christians.
