Through oral or written work, children could demonstrate their
ability to:
- recount outlines of one / some of the following stories - Abraham
and Sarah, Jacob's Ladder, Joseph, Passover. (L1, AT1a)
- retell one / some of the following stories - Abraham and Sarah,
Jacob's Ladder, Joseph, Passover and identify key Judeo/Christian
beliefs about God, e.g. God cares about people, God keeps His promises,
God is active, God has a special relationship with the Jews. (L2,

- recognize a relationship with God as being a feature of the
religious life. (L1, AT1b)
- identify the communal meal as a practice found within Judaism and
Christianity. (L2, AT1b)
- recognize the words 'Old Testament', 'Jewish',
'Passover', and the symbolic food in the Seder meal. (L1,

- suggest meanings in the the story of Jacob's Ladder and the
symbolic food used in the Seder meal. (L2, AT1c)
- identify experiences of waiting, jealousy, forgiveness, change,
