The Bible as a Rule Book
Aim
To begin to appreciate that many people value the Bible as God's book of rules.
Lesson
Revise what was taught in the previous week about rules. Show children a copy of the Bible. The Bible is a rule book for many people. They believe that the rules in it come from God.
Share with children the selection of rules from the Old and New Testaments.
Activity
Following discussion, groups of children could:
- as God, write a list of rules for humans
- interview a Christian about the rules in the Bible
- read the ten commandments.
